Domain Cigars Launches a Test Blend Portal for Its Flagship Retailers

Domain Cigars has set up a Test Blend Portal for its flagship retailers, Cigar Coop reported on November 2. With the portal, Domain lets retailers provide feedback on test blends and make them available to their customers. The test blends result from blending sessions between Esteban Disla and Kevin Baxter.

The process is simple: after receiving and smoking a test blend, a reviewer logs on to the portal, looks up the test blend and gets a feedback screen to log information about flavor notes, construction, performance and tasting comments. The system also calculates a personal numerical rating from 1 to 100. “Every test blend now has a dedicated review experience. When you smoke one and share your thoughts, those notes go directly to Kevin and Esteban. Our master blenders can read your feedback and consider it as they continue developing new products,” commented Domain Cigars co-founder Daniel Lance in a statement on social media.

Domain says these cigars are available exclusively through a handful of flagship retailers; once they receive them, those retailers can decide how to share them with their customers. “No elaborate launch. No promises that these cigars will ever become commercial products. Just an opportunity to experience the work happening inside our factory and share your thoughts with the people making them,” added Lance. Image credits: Domain Cigars, via Cigar Coop.
