A new platform that promises to bring price-guide precision to the premium cigar world is set to launch on Monday, October 12, 2026. CigarWorth, a project more than three years in the making, was unveiled during the grand opening of the Selected Tobacco factory in Madrid, Spain.
Announced by cigar industry veteran David Garofalo, CigarWorth is described as a price-guide and information platform built exclusively for premium cigars — designed to answer one of the hobby's oldest questions: what is this cigar actually worth? Rather than a review website or another cigar app, the platform is positioned as a centralized historical and valuation resource for cigar enthusiasts, collectors, retailers, auction houses, estates, insurers, and manufacturers.
The idea draws on established models from other collectibles: baseball cards have price guides, fine wines have provenance, and luxury watches have serial-number databases. Premium cigars — one of the world's oldest luxury products — have never had a universal valuation system. CigarWorth aims to change that, letting someone who inherits a cigar look up when it was produced, where it was made, how rare it may be, and its estimated value today.
The platform will be available at CigarWorth.com.
